Lisaks on cosworthi kolvid ujuv sõrmede peal ja ohc mitte.mrt kirjutas:Tegelikult saab cosworth´i kolbe kasutada küll.
tabetha kirjutas:Yes you can without a doubt, you can also use the 200 block if you want.
All that happened with the "yb" blocks were they were plucked off the standard pinto production line based purely on bore sizes, they were microscopically smaller so the walls of the bores were microscopically thicker, the bores were numbered 1 to 4 with 1 being the smallest(thickest bore walls), that's why most yb have the numbers 2/2/2/2 stamped by the dizzy hole, not all 2/2/2/2, my own one is 2/3/3/2.
So use with confidence any 205 block, the 200 block has a thicker skirt around the base of the block, as the sump and of course the 4wd diff etc are supported off this.
ühe huvitava jutustuse leidsin veeltabetha kirjutas: comapred with the T88/pinto engine from which the new turbocharged YB evolved almost everything was changed, except fro the cylinder block, front cover and jackshaft, except for these parts all was new.
For those that don't know Mario was the man behind the engineering of the YB, I've a suspicion he knew what was used as he used it and asked for it.
martysmartie kirjutas:The YAA which was seen by accident when on a visit to Cosworth to look at Formula 1 engine, Stewart Turner asked Keith whats that? To which the reply was "Thats a Pinto with a cylinder head conversion, we believe there is enough demand for it to put into production as a performance part" Nothing more was said. Turbocharging was then thrown in by Stewart's legendry comment whilst consuming a ploughmens lunch at a pub. To be specific "If we turbo charge your Pinto with the 16V head and put it into a Sierra Rover won't win another race" and so the YB was born.
